Siozole Capsule is prescribed for the following conditions where there is excessive acid in the stomach:
- Peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal ulcers)
- H. pylori infection (as part of combination therapy to eradicate the bacteria)
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including erosive oesophagitis (damage to the esophageal lining from acid reflux)
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a rare condition causing severe acid overproduction)
- Oesophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus)
- Acid-related dyspepsia (indigestion, heartburn)
- NSAID-associated ulceration (prevention and treatment of ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
- Prophylaxis of acid aspiration during general anaesthesia (to prevent stomach acid from entering the lungs during surgery)
