Torsinex Injection is administered intravenously, typically in a hospital or clinic setting under the supervision of a doctor or nurse. It primarily acts on the kidneys, specifically the loop of Henle, to inhibit the reabsorption of sodium, potassium, and chloride ions. This action leads to increased excretion of these electrolytes along with water, resulting in diuresis (increased urine production).
This rapid removal of excess fluid and salt from the body has several therapeutic effects. It helps to reduce fluid buildup (edema) in various conditions and can also lower blood pressure. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolyte levels (especially potassium) is important during treatment with Torsinex Injection, as it can cause imbalances. Your doctor may advise dietary changes, such as incorporating potassium-rich foods, or prescribing potassium supplements to counteract potential potassium depletion.
Short Uses:
- Emergency treatment of very high blood pressure (hypertensive crisis): It quickly lowers blood pressure.

- Heart failure: When the heart isn’t pumping efficiently.
- Liver disease: Such as cirrhosis, which can lead to fluid buildup in the abdomen (ascites).
