What is Ridacid Gel Used For?

Ridacid Gel is commonly used to treat:

• Heartburn
• Hyperacidity

How to Take Ridacid Gel

Ridacid Gel should be taken between meals and at bedtime.

Adults: Take 2-4 teaspoonfuls (10-20 ml) orally, 3-4 times daily, approximately 20-60 minutes after meals and at bedtime.

Children (12 years and older): Take 2-4 teaspoonfuls (10-20 ml) orally, 3-4 times daily, approximately 20-60 minutes after meals and at bedtime.

Patients with kidney impairment: Ridacid Gel is contraindicated (should not be used) in patients with impaired kidney function.

Important Considerations

Do Not Use If:

• You have a known allergy to magnesium or aluminum (components of Magaldrate).
• You have impaired kidney function.

Use With Caution If:

• You have decreased kidney function.
• You have hypophosphatemia (low phosphate levels).
• You are frail or weakened.

How Ridacid Gel Works

Magaldrate is an antacid that quickly neutralizes stomach acid. It converts into magnesium and aluminum hydroxide in the stomach, providing a sustained reduction in acidity. It also helps improve the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and can influence stomach emptying.

Simethicone works by helping gas bubbles in your stomach and intestines combine, making them easier to pass.
