INDCLAV DS Syrup

Composition:
- Amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic)
- Clavulanic Acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor)
Purpose / Indication:
INDCLAV DS Syrup is used in children to treat various bacterial infections, especially when regular antibiotics may not work alone. It is effective against:
- Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (like tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)
- Ear infections (otitis media)
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Dental infections
How It Works:
- Amoxicillin kills the bacteria causing the infection.
- Clavulanic Acid protects amoxicillin from being broken down by bacterial enzymes, making the treatment more effective.
Dosage & Administration:
- “DS” stands for Double Strength, meaning it has a higher concentration for more serious infections.
- Given twice daily (BID) – dosage is based on child’s weight and doctor’s prescription.
- Shake well before use. Use the provided measuring cup or spoon.
Precautions:
- Complete the full course, even if the child feels better.
- Common side effects: diarrhea, nausea, rash.
- Give with food to reduce stomach upset.
