Clin Gel

Clindamycin works by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. It does this by reversibly binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which blocks the transpeptidation or translocation reactions necessary for protein production. This ultimately stunts the growth of the bacterial cells.
