Important Contraindications
Do not use Urigen Syrup if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to Potassium Citrate
- Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels)
- Addison’s disease
- Anuria (inability to make urine)
- Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
- Acute dehydration
- Adrenal insufficiency
- Severe renal insufficiency (GFR <0.7ml/kg/min)
- Delayed gastric emptying, esophageal compression, or gastrointestinal obstruction
- Concomitant anticholinergic medication use
- Peptic ulcer disease
- Active urinary tract infection
- Concomitant use of potassium-sparing agents (e.g., triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride)
