Description
Trax-250 Cap contains azithromycin (250 mg), a macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis. It works by stopping bacterial protein synthesis, killing or inhibiting growth. Taken orally, usually once daily with or without food, the course lasts 3–5 days depending on the infection, as prescribed. It’s effective for respiratory, skin, or ear infections. Side effects may include stomach upset, diarrhea, or headache, with rare risks of liver issues or allergic reactions. It’s not for viral infections like colds or those allergic to macrolides. Avoid antacids two hours before or after doses, as they reduce absorption. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor, and prolonged use requires liver function monitoring. Complete the full course to prevent resistance.
