Supatret

Supatret Cream, containing Tretinoin Topical 0.04%, is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and is available in Nepal. Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A, works by stimulating the multiplication and turnover of follicular epithelial cells, which helps reduce their stickiness. This process aids in expelling existing clogged pores (comedones) and prevents new ones from forming. It also thins the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum). For acute promyelocytic leukemia, it induces cellular differentiation and reduces proliferation.

  • Limit exposure to sunlight, UV light, and weather extremes (e.g., cold).
  • Keep away from eyes, mouth, angles of the nose, mucous membranes, or open wounds.
  • In case of severe local erythema (redness), oedema (swelling), blistering, or crusting, use less frequently or discontinue the application.
  • Avoid medicated or drying soaps, abrasive soaps and cleansers, frequent washing, and harsh scrubbing.
  • Do not use topical preparations with high concentrations of alcohol, menthol, spices, or lime.
