Description
Silodal 8 Tab is a prescription medication containing Silodosin, an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker primarily used to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing discomfort during urination. This medication is typically prescribed for adult men experiencing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with BPH, such as difficulty starting urination, weak stream, or frequent urination, especially at night. Silodal 8 Tab does not shrink the prostate but alleviates symptoms, enhancing quality of life. It is taken orally, usually once daily with a meal, to maximize absorption and minimize side effects. Common side effects include dizziness, retrograde ejaculation, and nasal congestion, which often subside with continued use. Patients should consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
