Relispas Tablet is an antispasmodic medication that helps relieve pain and discomfort caused by muscle spasms. It’s commonly prescribed for:
- Gastrointestinal tract spasms (stomach or intestinal cramps)
- Symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods)
- Pain from Biliary colics (gallstones)
- Pain from Renal colics (kidney stones)
How Does Relispas Work?

Dosage Information
Adult Dose (Oral):
- As an antispasmodic: Take 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times daily.

- As an antispasmodic: 1 to 2 ampoules (40-80mg), given intramuscularly or subcutaneously, 1-3 times daily.
- For acute stone colics: 1 or 2 ampoules (40-80mg) by slow intravenous injection.
Child Dose (Oral):
- Children (over 6 years): 1/2 to 1 tablet (20-40mg), 1-2 times daily.
- Children (1-6 years): 1/4 to 1/2 tablet (10-20mg), 1-2 times daily.
How to Take Relispas
You can take Relispas Tablet with or without food.
Important Considerations & Precaution
Do NOT use Relispas if you have:
- Severe kidney dysfunction
- Severe liver dysfunction
- Severe heart dysfunction
- Porphyria (a rare genetic blood disorder)
Use with caution if you have:
- Any existing kidney, liver, or heart problems.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use.
Drug Interactions:
- Relispas may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa (a medication for Parkinson’s disease).
