- May increase serum concentration of methotrexate and saquinavir.
- Delayed absorption and decreased bioavailability with sucralfate.
- Decreased absorption of ketoconazole and itraconazole.
- Potentially Fatal: May decrease serum levels and pharmacological effects of rilpivirine, atazanavir, and nelfinavir.

Mechanism of Action
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by blocking the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells. This action inhibits the final step of acid secretion, reducing both basal (continuous) and stimulated acid production in the stomach.
