OPALEN GEL (Adapalene 0.1% Topical)
Indications:
- Acne Vulgaris
- Keratosis Pilaris
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults: Apply a small (pea-sized) amount sparingly to the entire affected face once daily at night, after cleansing with a non-medicated cleanser.
- Children: Consult a healthcare professional for appropriate dosing.

Method of Administration: For topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, nostrils, and mucous membranes. Do not apply to cuts, abrasions, scaly or flaky skin, or sunburned skin.
Contraindications:

- Rare (<1%): Acne flare, conjunctivitis, contact dermatitis, eczema, eyelid edema, rash, skin discoloration.
Mechanism of Action: Adapalene selectively binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors. This binding normalizes the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells, leading to a reduction in microcomedone formation.
