Usage
Olzap 5 is a 5 mg Olanzapine tablet used to treat:
- Schizophrenia: Helps reduce hallucinations and improve thinking and behavior.
- Bipolar Disorder: Manages manic episodes and may be used as an adjunct in depressive phases.
- Acute Mania: Controls agitation and mood swings effectively.
Dosage
- Initial Dose: Typically 5 mg once daily.
- Maintenance Dose: Adjusted between 10–20 mg daily based on response and tolerance.
- Administration: Can be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time each day.
Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Drowsiness and dizziness
- Weight gain and increased appetite
