Description
Uses
NORETH is commonly prescribed for:
• Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding)
• Cystic glandular endometrial hyperplasia
• Inhibition of lactation (to suppress milk production)
Dosage
• Menorrhagia: 15 mg daily from the 5th to the 26th day of the menstrual cycle.
• Endometrial Hyperplasia: 10–15 mg daily for 6–12 days.
• Inhibition of Lactation:

During 16th–28th week of interrupted pregnancy: 15 mg on day 1, 10 mg on days 2–3, and 5 mg on days 4–7.

During 28th–36th week of interrupted pregnancy: 15 mg on day 1, 10 mg on days 2–3, and 10 mg on days 4–7.

Postpartum: 20 mg on days 1–3, 15 mg on days 4–7, and 10 mg on days 8–10.
Precautions
• Avoid use in individuals with hypersensitivity to progestins or any components of the tablet.
• Use with caution in those with a history of thromboembolic disorders, liver dysfunction, or breast cancer.
• Monitor for irregular bleeding, breast tenderness, or other side effects during treatment.
