Description
Mylod-10mg Tab contains atorvastatin (10 mg), a statin used to lower cholesterol and reduce cardiovascular risks like heart attack and stroke. It inhibits liver cholesterol production, lowering LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and raising HDL (“good” cholesterol). Taken orally once daily, often at night, with or without food, it’s prescribed for adults with high cholesterol or heart disease risk. It’s effective in managing dyslipidemia, especially in diabetics. Side effects may include muscle pain, nausea, or headache, with rare risks of liver damage or rhabdomyolysis. It’s not recommended for liver disease patients or those with active muscle disorders. Avoid excessive alcohol and grapefruit juice, which can increase side effects. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid it due to fetal risks. Regular liver function tests are advised during treatment.
