Description
Medigra 50 is a prescription medication containing Sildenafil Citrate, primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping to achieve and maintain an erection.
Main Uses:
- Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Helps men achieve and sustain an erection during sexual activity.
- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): In some cases, used to lower blood pressure in the lungs and improve exercise capacity.
Dosage & Administration:
- For ED: Take 50 mg approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. It can be taken between 30 minutes to 4 hours prior. Do not exceed one dose per day.
- For PAH: The typical dose is 20 mg three times daily, spaced 4–6 hours apart.
Side Effects:
- Common: Headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness.
- Less common: Visual disturbances, muscle pain, rash.
Precautions:
- Not recommended for individuals taking nitrates or with certain heart conditions.
- Consult a doctor before use, especially if you have liver or kidney issues.
