Description
PRAVENT RESPULES 2ML is a respiratory medication containing Ipratropium bromide, which is an anticholinergic bronchodilator. It is commonly used to manage respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
Key Features:
- Active Ingredient: Ipratropium bromide (usually 250 mcg or 500 mcg per dose).
- Form: Nebulizer solution (Respules) in 2mL single-dose vials.

Mechanism of Action: Relaxes the muscles around the airways, helping to open them and ease breathing.
Uses:
- Maintenance treatment of bronchospasm in COPD (chronic bronchitis, emphysema).

- Used with a nebulizer machine to convert the liquid into a mist for inhalation.

- Rarely: blurred vision (if the solution comes in contact with eyes), urinary retention.

- Avoid contact with eyes (may cause pupil dilation).
- Use with caution in patients with glaucoma or prostate issues.
