Description
GRANDEM MD TAB contains Granisetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. It works by blocking serotonin receptors in the gut and brain, which are responsible for triggering the vomiting reflex. The “MD” in its name indicates it is a mouth-dissolving tablet, offering quick absorption and convenience for patients who may struggle with swallowing pills. It is typically prescribed for adults undergoing cancer treatment or post-operative care. The dosage is usually taken 1 hour before chemotherapy or surgery, as directed by a healthcare provider. GRANDEM MD is not intended to treat nausea or vomiting that has already started. Patients should inform their doctor about any history of heart conditions or electrolyte imbalances before use.
