Description
GRAND-MD TAB is a combination medication primarily used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:
Composition:
Each tablet typically contains:
- Metformin (500 mg/850 mg/1000 mg) – Biguanide class
- Dapagliflozin (5 mg/10 mg) – SGLT2 inhibitor class
Mechanism of Action:

Metformin:
- Reduces glucose production in liver
- Improves insulin sensitivity
- Decreases intestinal glucose absorption

Dapagliflozin:
- Blocks SGLT2 receptors in kidneys
- Increases glucose excretion through urine
