Eudyna
Eudyna Cream, containing Tretinoin Topical, is manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals and is available in Nepal. Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A, works by boosting the turnover of skin cells. This helps to expel existing clogged pores (comedones) and stops new ones from forming. It also thins the outermost layer of the skin.
Description
This cream is used to treat:
- Acne
- Mottled hyperpigmentation (dark spots)
- Roughness and fine wrinkles on skin damaged by sun exposure
How to Use
For Adults:
- Acne vulgaris: Apply once daily, typically at bedtime, to the affected area after you’ve cleansed and dried your skin. You might start seeing results after 6-8 weeks.
- Mottled hyperpigmentation, roughness, and fine wrinkling of photodamaged skin: Apply a pea-sized amount to your entire face once daily at night. It could take up to 6 months to see a therapeutic response.
For Children:
- Acne Vulgaris: For children under 12 years, its safety and effectiveness haven’t been established. For those over 12 years, apply once daily at bedtime to the affected area.
Important Precautions

- Avoid using if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Limit your exposure to sunlight, UV light, and extreme weather (like cold).
- Keep the cream away from your eyes, mouth, corners of your nose, mucous membranes, or open wounds.
- If you experience severe local redness, swelling, blistering, or crusting, use the cream less frequently or stop using it altogether.
- Avoid medicated or drying soaps, abrasive soaps and cleansers, frequent washing, and harsh scrubbing.
- Do not use topical preparations with high concentrations of alcohol, menthol, spices, or lime.
Potential Side Effects
You might experience an initial worsening of symptoms, skin irritation, stinging when applied, swelling, blistering, crusting of the skin, redness, scaling, increased sensitivity to light (photosensitivity), and temporary lighter or darker skin patches.
