Description
EMPAZ 25MG TAB contains Empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by blocking glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, promoting its excretion through urine, which helps lower blood sugar levels. This medication also supports weight loss and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in diabetic patients with heart disease. EMPAZ 25MG is typically prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise for adults who need better glycemic control. It can be taken with or without food, usually once daily in the morning. Patients should stay hydrated, as this drug increases urination. It is not recommended for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Regular monitoring of kidney function and blood sugar is advised during treatment.
