EMOSIL CREAM-30G is a topical emollient cream used for various skin conditions, primarily those involving dryness and minor irritation.

Active Ingredient: The main active ingredient in Emosil Cream is Propylene Glycol (1.5% w/w).

What is Propylene Glycol and How it Works: Propylene glycol is a humectant. It works by attracting water from the deeper layers of the skin and from the environment to the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). This helps to:

• Moisturize the skin: By drawing and retaining moisture, it helps to hydrate dry skin.
• Reduce flaking and restore suppleness: It makes the skin feel smoother and less flaky.
• Form a protective barrier: It helps to form an oily layer on top of the skin that traps existing water in the skin, preventing moisture loss.

Uses of EMOSIL CREAM-30G: Emosil Cream is used to treat or prevent:

• Dry skin: Including general dryness, rough, or scaly skin.
• Minor skin irritations: Such as chapped lips, diaper rash, and minor skin burns (e.g., from radiation therapy).
• Acne: While not a primary acne treatment, it can help with skin dryness associated with some acne treatments.
• Itchy skin: By moisturizing and soothing the skin.
• Cold sores: To help with the dryness and irritation.

How to Use EMOSIL CREAM-30G:

• External use only: Apply it only to the skin.
• Clean and dry: Clean and dry the affected skin area before application.
• Thin layer: Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by your doctor.
• Avoid sensitive areas: Unless specifically directed by a doctor, avoid applying to sensitive areas like eyes, inside the mouth/nose, or vaginal/groin area.
• Do not apply to broken skin: Avoid applying to deep wounds, open sores, or severely burned skin.
