Diana Cream, containing Tretinoin Topical 0.025%, is manufactured by Panas Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. and is available in Nepal. Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that works by stimulating skin cell turnover, which helps clear existing comedones (clogged pores) and prevents new ones from forming. It also thins the outer layer of the skin.
Description
This cream is used to treat:
- Acne
- Mottled hyperpigmentation
- Roughness and fine wrinkling of photodamaged skin
How to Use
For Adults:
- Acne vulgaris: Apply once daily, typically at bedtime, to the affected area after cleansing and drying the skin. You may see results after 6-8 weeks.
- Mottled hyperpigmentation, roughness, and fine wrinkling of photodamaged skin: Apply a pea-sized amount to the entire face once daily at night. It may take up to 6 months to see a therapeutic response.
For Children:
- Acne Vulgaris: For children under 12 years, safety and efficacy haven’t been established. For those over 12 years, apply once daily at bedtime to the affected area.
Important Precautions
- Avoid using if you are hypersensitive to retinoids, or if your skin is eczematous, sunburnt, or abraded.
- Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Limit sun exposure and protect your skin from UV light and extreme weather (like cold).
- Keep away from eyes, mouth, nose corners, mucous membranes, or open wounds.
- If you experience severe redness, swelling, blistering, or crusting, reduce how often you use it or stop entirely.
- Avoid harsh or medicated soaps, abrasive cleansers, frequent washing, and vigorous scrubbing.
- Steer clear of topical products with high concentrations of alcohol, menthol, spices, or lime.
