Candid TV Suspension 75ml is a topical antifungal medication formulated to effectively treat various fungal skin infections. It is a combination medicine containing two active ingredients: Clotrimazole (1% w/v) and Selenium Sulfide (2.5% w/v).
- Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It disrupts the cell membrane of the fungi, causing damage and leading to their death, thereby clearing the infection and alleviating symptoms.
- Selenium Sulfide acts as an anti-infective agent. It helps to reduce skin damage caused by the infection, decreasing flaking or scaling of the skin, and promoting the formation of new, healthy skin cells. It also provides relief from itching and irritation associated with these conditions. Selenium sulfide is particularly effective in addressing the scaling and flaking often seen in dandruff and tinea versicolor.
This suspension is intended for external use only. It comes in a 75ml solution and should be applied as a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin or scalp with clean, dry hands.
