Description
Candid TV Lotion 30ml is a topical antifungal medication commonly used to treat various skin infections caused by fungi.
Composition:
- Clotrimazole 1% w/v: An antifungal agent that inhibits the growth of fungi by damaging their cell membranes.
- Selenium Sulfide 2.5% w/v: An anti-infective agent that helps relieve itching and flaking of the scalp, removes dry, scaly particles, and reduces skin damage caused by the infection.
Uses:
Candid TV Lotion is effective in treating:
- Ringworm (Tinea corporis)
- Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
- Fungal nappy rash
- Fungal sweat rash
- Vulvovaginal candidiasis (external thrush)
- Tinea versicolor
- Seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff)
How It Works:
Clotrimazole disrupts the fungal cell membrane, leading to the death of the fungus. Selenium sulfide reduces skin flaking and scaling, aiding in the healing process.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:
- Skin irritation
- Itching
- Redness
- Burning sensation at the application site
- Skin inflammation
Most side effects are mild and temporary. If they persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider.
Dosage & Application:
- Application: Apply a thin layer to the affected area.
- Frequency: Typically 2–3 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
- Duration: Continue use for the full prescribed period, even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence.
