Uses of Candid Gel: Candid Gel is used for the treatment of various fungal skin infections, including:

  • Ringworm (Tinea Corporis): A common fungal infection that causes a red, scaly, ring-shaped rash.
  • Athlete’s Foot (Tinea Pedis): A fungal infection that usually starts between the toes, causing itching, stinging, and burning.
  • Jock Itch (Tinea Cruris): A fungal infection that causes an itchy, red, ring-shaped rash in the groin area.

How it Works (Mechanism of Action): Clotrimazole, the active ingredient, works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It does this by damaging the fungal cell membrane, which is essential for the fungus’s survival. By destroying the cell membrane, Candid Gel effectively kills the fungi causing the infection and prevents their further growth.

  • Application site irritation

Serious Allergic Reaction (Rare): Seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as:

  • Rash
  • Severe itching or swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat)
  • Severe dizziness
  • Trouble breathing

Precautions and Warnings:

  • For External Use Only: Do not ingest Candid Gel. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, and other mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
