Uses of Candid Gel: Candid Gel is used for the treatment of various fungal skin infections, including:

• Athlete’s Foot (Tinea Pedis): A fungal infection that usually starts between the toes, causing itching, stinging, and burning.
• Jock Itch (Tinea Cruris): A fungal infection that causes an itchy, red, ring-shaped rash in the groin area.
• Fungal Nappy Rash: A rash in the diaper area caused by fungal overgrowth.
• Fungal Sweat Rash (Tinea Versicolor): A fungal infection that causes small, discolored patches on the skin, often on the trunk and shoulders.
• Vaginal Thrush (Vaginal Candidiasis): Fungal infection of the vagina.
• Oropharyngeal Candidiasis: Fungal infection in the mouth and throat.
• It also helps relieve irritation of the vulva or at the end of the penis associated with thrush.

How it Works (Mechanism of Action): Clotrimazole, the active ingredient, works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It does this by damaging the fungal cell membrane, which is essential for the fungus’s survival. By destroying the cell membrane, Candid Gel effectively kills the fungi causing the infection and prevents their further growth.
