Description
Asthalin Inhaler 200MD is a metered-dose inhaler containing Salbutamol 100 mcg per puff, totaling 200 doses. Salbutamol, also known as albuterol, is a fast-acting bronchodilator.
Main Uses
- Relief of asthma symptoms: Alleviates wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
- Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD): Eases breathing difficulties associated with conditions like chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
- Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm: Used before physical activity to prevent asthma symptoms triggered by exercise.
How It Works
Salbutamol acts on beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the airway muscles, causing them to relax. This relaxation leads to the widening of airways (bronchodilation), making breathing easier. The inhaler typically begins to work within 5 minutes, with effects lasting 4 to 6 hours.
Usage Guidelines
