Uses
- High Cholesterol: Lowers low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
- Prevention of Heart Attack and Stroke: Reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in individuals with high cholesterol or other risk factors.
- High Triglycerides: Helps in managing elevated triglyceride levels.

Serious Side Effects:

Dosage & Administration
- Typical Dose: Initially, 5 or 10 mg once daily; may increase to 20 mg daily if necessary.
- Maximum Dose: 40 mg once daily.
- Administration: Can be taken with or without food; preferably at the same time each day.
- Renal Impairment: For severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min/1.73m²), the starting dose should be 5 mg daily, not exceeding 10 mg daily.
