AROFIX-100
Cefixime is an antibiotic that works by binding to specific proteins called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) within bacterial cells. This action inhibits the final step of peptidoglycan synthesis, a crucial component of the bacterial cell wall. By disrupting cell wall formation, Cefixime prevents the bacteria from building and maintaining their structure, ultimately leading to bacterial cell death.
