Telmisartan: This belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). Telmisartan works by blocking the action of a natural substance in the body called angiotensin II. Angiotensin II normally causes blood vessels to narrow, leading to increased blood pressure. By blocking this effect, Telmisartan helps to relax and widen blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and thereby lowering blood pressure.
