Description
Uses
Aerocort Rotacaps are prescribed for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). They help in:
- Widening the airways
- Reducing inflammation
- Easing breathing by relieving symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing
Dosage
- Adults & Children ≥12 years: 1 capsule, 2–4 times daily, as prescribed by a healthcare professional
- Children <12 years: Use under medical supervision; dosage may vary
Note: Aerocort Rotacaps are not for immediate relief of acute asthma attacks. Use a fast-acting bronchodilator for immediate relief.
Precautions
- Not suitable for acute asthma attacks; use a fast-acting bronchodilator for immediate relief
- Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or having liver/kidney issues
- May cause side effects like hoarseness, sore throat, oral fungal infections (thrush), headache, or muscle cramps
- Rinse mouth after use to minimize side effects
