Description
Uses
Aerocort Inhaler is prescribed for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps in:
- Reducing airway inflammation
- Relaxing airway muscles
- Improving airflow and easing breathing
Dosage
- Adults & Children ≥12 years: 2 inhalations, 3–4 times daily, adjusted to the lowest effective dose.
- Children <12 years: 1–2 inhalations, 2–4 times daily, as prescribed.
Note: This inhaler is not for immediate relief of acute asthma attacks. Use a fast-acting bronchodilator for immediate relief.
Precautions
- Not suitable for acute asthma attacks; use a fast-acting bronchodilator for immediate relief.
- Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or having liver/kidney issues.
- May cause side effects like hoarseness, sore throat, oral fungal infections, headache, or muscle cramps.
- Rinse mouth after use to minimize side effects.
