Mechanism of Action:
Adenosine is a naturally occurring nucleoside that, when administered intravenously, exerts its effects by:
- Slowing conduction through the atrioventricular (AV) node.
- Interrupting re-entrant pathways through the AV node.
- Restoring normal sinus rhythm in patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
