Description
Uses
Acitrom 4MG is prescribed to:
- Prevent and treat blood clots in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, and stroke
- Prevent clot formation in the heart, lungs, brain, and legs
- Reduce the risk of clot-related complications in patients with heart conditions
Dosage & Administration
Typical dose: 4 mg daily or as directed by your doctor
Administration: Oral tablet, taken with or without food
Take at the same time each day for best results
Regular blood tests (such as INR) are required to monitor clotting levels
Side Effects
Common side effects:
- Bleeding or bruising
- Nausea
- Hair loss
Serious but rare side effects:
- Severe bleeding
- Liver damage
- Allergic reactions
Seek immediate medical help if you notice signs of unusual bleeding or allergic response.
Precautions
Avoid use if allergic to Acenocoumarol or other anticoagulants
Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Inform your doctor about all other medications you’re taking
Maintain a consistent diet regarding vitamin K intake
Limit alcohol consumption
