Description
Uses
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) – A condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus.
- Peptic Ulcers – Sores that develop on the lining of the stomach, small intestine, or esophagus.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome – A rare condition involving tumors in the pancreas or duodenum that cause excessive stomach acid production.
Common Side Effects
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Gastrointestinal disturbances
Most side effects are mild and may resolve as your body adjusts to the medication. Consult your doctor if they persist or cause concern.
Dosage & Administration
- Typical Dosage: 150 mg once or twice daily, as prescribed by your doctor.
- Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Timing: May be taken with or without food. It’s advisable to take it at a fixed time each day.
