Composition:
Each tablet contains:
- Etofylline – 115 mg
- Theophylline – 35 mg
These active ingredients belong to the xanthine derivative class of bronchodilators.
Uses:
AASMA XR 150mg is indicated for:
- Prevention and treatment of reversible bronchospasm associated with asthma and COPD
- Relaxing bronchial smooth muscle to facilitate easier breathing
- Stimulating central respiratory drive
Precautions:
Before using AASMA XR 150mg, inform your healthcare provider if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to xanthines
- Seizure disorders not adequately controlled with medication
- Heart or blood vessel diseases
- Lung infections
- Overactive thyroid gland
- Low potassium levels in the blood
Dosage:
- Adults: Typically, 150 mg to 300 mg daily, depending on individual response.
- Children: Dosage varies based on age and weight; consult a pediatrician.
- Administration:
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Preferably on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Do not chew or break the tablet.
Side Effects:
