Description
The “A/G Ratio” (Albumin/Globulin Ratio) is a blood test that compares the levels of two main types of proteins in your blood: albumin and globulin. This ratio provides insights into your liver and kidney function, nutritional status, and immune system health. Abnormal A/G ratios can indicate various conditions, including liver disease, kidney disease, malnutrition, chronic infections, autoimmune disorders, and certain types of cancer. It’s often included as part of a routine comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP).
