Composition
- Sitagliptin Phosphate equivalent to Sitagliptin 50 mg
- Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg
- Dosage Form: Film-coated bilayer tablet

Mechanism of Action
- Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor that enhances the body’s incretin system, promoting insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release after meals.
- Metformin works by reducing hepatic glucose production, enhancing insulin sensitivity, and decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose.
This dual-action formula helps regulate both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.
Indications
SITA M 500 is indicated for the treatment of:
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults
- Patients inadequately controlled on Metformin or Sitagliptin monotherapy
